Hi, I’m Brian, founder of Farm Tech co. ltd. in Myanmar. First, I want to thank you for taking the time to check out Farm Tech’s Franchise investment opportunity and also congratulate you on moving a step closer to earning a good profit on your investments while making a real difference in improving small farmers’ standard of living.
I started Farm Tech because I believe that small farmers are some of the hardest working and nicest people on earth. They are also some of the world’s poorest, with many struggling to survive. As I have traveled around Myanmar over the past two years, the one complaint that I have heard over and over is that all the young people have left for factory jobs in other countries, so there isn’t enough labor left to work the farms.
This is both a problem and an opportunity as communities are now actively searching for solutions and mechanization of the agricultural industry is one of the government of Myanmar’s top priorities. The most significant obstacle that they face in this quest is a lack of financing options for local businesses. The financing needs of most local businesses are too big for micro-finance companies and too small for institutional investors. They fall into that $5,000 to $10,000 range that no one is currently serving.
We created our franchise model specifically to fill this gap in the market and I hope you decide to join us as we begin launching two local franchises every week to meet the bulk post-harvest drying needs of small farmers in Myanmar!
